SOS on iPhone 14- Apple’s iPhone 14 Gets Emergency Feature Arrives DownUnder

 Source- Business Upside

The SOS function on iPhone 14's Emergency feature was first offered in the United States and Canada, followed by France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Germany. And it is now available in Australia and New Zealand. The latter two countries contain vast regions of wilderness that are bereft of cellular coverage.

The new Emergency SOS iPhone function is already available on the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max, all of which run iOS 16.4 or higher. When activated, the feature is available for two years.

What exactly is SOS on the iPhone?

Holding down the power and volume buttons for an extended period of time activates the emergency SOS iPhone through satellite. Alternatively, you can hit the power button five times quickly.

Using the directions on the iPhone's UI, you can direct your smartphone in the ideal signal direction. After connecting your device to the internet, you can contact emergency service providers by opening a message interface. Not only that, but the iPhone will communicate your current location. If all goes as planned, you'll get word that notifications have been sent to the rescuers requesting you to stay put.
