Angela Lansbury, the star of Murder, She Wrote, a US TV series passed away. Angela was featured as the crime series’s writer-detective and won the audience’s hearts. A statement made by her family confirmed her demise at 96. The family wrote that Angela died in Los Angeles, at their home, at around 1.30 am local time on Tuesday. She was about to celebrate her 97th birthday after five days.

Angela Lansbury has three children, David, Deirdre, and Anthony, along with three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Angela was married to Peter Shaw.

Angela’s Career

Angela enjoyed her stardom for not less than eight decades and also got the TV Hall of Fame in 1996. The British-born Broadway star got other memorable accolades throughout her career, too, for her performance on the stage and at the same time on-screen.

The series Murder, She Wrote featured her for as many as twelve seasons, making Angela a household name. Jessica Fletcher was the name of the character she played in the crime series on US TV.
